Here’s another tune that’s become a blues standard. Written by Willie Dixon, it was first recorded by Howlin’ Wolf in 1961. Sam Cooke, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, Luther Allison and others have covered it.
This is my particular favorite version. Jose Feliciano’s agile vocals and articulate, flamenco-influenced guitar give it a certain sine qua non that makes it stand out.
I hope you dig it.
